Simonds Stadium is a cricket groundMelbourne, Australia. It is located in the north-east of the city, near the public transport hubs of Brunswick and Preston. The stadium is named after the Simonds trucking company, which is a major sponsor of the Melbourne Stars franchise in the Big Bash League. The stadium has a capacity of 17,000 and was completed in 2010. It hosts both international and domestic cricket matches, including those involving the Australian national team. The stadium is also used for other sports, including AFL and netball.
