IPL Prediction and Betting Tips

Without a doubt IPL has become more interesting after last season as we got two new teams added to the league and a brand new winner at the throne. Gujarat Titans lifted an IPL trophy on their debut IPL season and the usual winners Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings finished at the bottom of the table.

The IPL auction was as exciting as the mega auction and we witnessed some big changes in the squads for the upcoming season. SRH and DC will even have new captains. DC will be led by the Aussie batter David Warner in the absence of Rishabh Pant and SRH has appointed Aiden Markram as the new captain after they released Kane Williamson.

The fight is certainly going to be more exciting this season as IPL is bringing back its home-away format where each team will play 7 home and 7 away matches. 10 teams will play a total of 70 league matches and 4 playoffs across 52 days at 12 venues. Some new rules have also been developed and will be executed from this season to make the league much more exciting.

For the upcoming season, we are backing 4 teams which can reach the playoffs and lift the trophy in upcoming season of IPL .

Gujarat Titans

The current champions left everyone stunned with their performance in the debut season. During the league stage they executed edge of the seat victories more than once. Strength: GT has a strong batting unit and now they have added Kane Williamson’s strength to it. Rahul Tewatia is playing the role of finisher quite well which shows depth in GT batting unit. Weakness: 3 out of 4 defeats of GT in the last season came as a successful chase which displayed GT’s weakness in the death bowling. They roped in Shivam Mavi to strengthen the bowling attack but death bowling can still be a concern for the team

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings fetched some of the top T20 players in the IPL mega auction to assemble a strong squad. They certainly had a strong squad on stats last season but still things didn’t go well for the team. With new changes in captaincy and new additions to the squad, we are backing them as one of the contenders to lift the IPL trophy this year. 

Strength: PBKS has the strongest squad of all teams, in terms of batters and bowlers. They need the right game plan to use the players up to their full strength. The new captaincy under Shikhar Dhawan and the addition of quality all-rounders Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza will level-up the performance this year. 

Weakness: In the last season, the minimum bowling economy in PBKS was recorded as 7.65 of Sandeep Sharma. The bowling unit needs to control the economy and this strong batting line-up should handle the rest.
