The Northern Superchargers and the Trent Rockets have both won their opening matches of the Hundred 2022 season. They will now go up against one another in a bid to remain in the top half of the standings.

The Northern Superchargers played very well against the Manchester Originals in their previous match. Harry Brook, Adam Lyth, and David Willey played good knocks while Faf du Plessis and David Wiese played key cameos. David Willey, Matt Potts, Adil Rashid, and Dwayne Bravo give the Superchargers plenty of T20 experience as well as the ability to adapt to different conditions. The Northern Superchargers are a much better outfit than last season and are playing in home conditions in this match.

The Trent Rockets flexed their batting muscles in the previous match as they chased down 143 with ease. Alex Hales, Colin Munro, and Joe Root got runs and they also have Dawid Malan, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, and Lewis Gregory in the lineup. Among the bowlers, Rashid Khan, Daniel Sams, and Samit Patel will play a central role for the Trent Rockets. A lot of the bowlers are T20 specialists that can take the pace off and really ask some difficult questions of the batters.

PITCH AND CONDITIONS

Headingley is expected to have favorable weather for this match and the pitch should be an absolute batting beauty. There is nothing that is going to seriously challenge the batters and the bowlers might be in for a real hiding. The average score here is around 150 and that is something that teams will be aiming for as a minimum.
