Caribbean Premier League is moving at a romping pace and the excitement is growing with every passing match. In the 11th Match of the Tournament, Trinbago Knight Riders will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors at Warner Park. Just when Trinbago Knight Riders were desperately needed a win, their senior players stepped up their game to get them a much-needed victory. Batting Department looks solid with Simmons and Narine opening the batting with Munro, Seifert, Bravo and Pollard makes a compact Middle order. Their bowlers were spectacular in the second innings as they kept picking up regular wickets across the innings. Ravi Rampaul was the pick of their bowling as he returned with the figures of 3 for 34 in his four overs. Akeil Hosein and Sunil Narine picked up only a wicket each, but they were mighty economical. They gave away just 28 runs in their eight overs combined.
Guyana Amazon Warriors have a terrific batting unit that has done incredibly well so far, but they also have an out-of-form bowling attack to go with it. We saw Mohammad Hafeez and Shimron Hetmyer both do well in the previous match, but their bowlers failed to defend a decent total of 166. Their spinners in Imran Tahir, Mohammad Hafeez, and Shoaib Malik did well, but Naveen Ul Haq and Nial Smith were a little too experience. This is something that they will want to fix before the business end of the tournament. Overall, Guyana Amazon Warriors have a decent side on paper, but they have struggled with the execution. Given the firepower they have, if they can get that execution right, Trinbago Knight Riders will certainly have their work cut out.
