As we progress towards the business end of the Tournament, it's getting interesting in the Points Table. In Today's Match Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on in-form Chennai Super Kings at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Chennai Super Kings are the team in form winning all 3 matches in the second phase of the Tournament. Gaikwad and Du Plessis are in good form at the top of the order. Moeen, Rayudu, Raina and Dhoni form a strong middle order. Jadeja has shown his class in the previous match winning the match for the side. Sam Curran is also very capable with the bat. Deepak Chahar has been impressive picking up wickets upfront in the powerplays. Thakur has also been good with his variations in the death overs. Jadeja and Moeen will be very helpful on this slowish track where spinners are getting purchase out of the wicket. Chennai Bats very deep shown in the previous game against KKR where they won on the last ball of the match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled off a very impressive victory against the Rajasthan Royals in the previous match and are still in with a mathematical chance of making it to the playoffs, though its going to be very very tuff. The inclusion of Jason Roy has certainly helped the side providing their side a solid start alongside Saha. Williamson played his role very well in the previous match guiding his side home. Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharm are also very talented and will surely prosper in future. Samad is also a powerful hitter and might be given a chance slightly up in the batting order. Jason Holder is also in good form with both bat and ball. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is a very good bowler but he has not been at his best. He and Sandeep Sharma use the swing that a new ball offers but that has not been the case in the UAE. Rashid Khan is the only genuine match-winner that they have with the ball. He is also someone who does not pick too many wickets as teams look to play him out.
TOSS PREDICTION
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. The pitch is slow but it remains just the same for the entire match.
PITCH REPORT
Sharjah in 2021 is very different from Sharjah in 2020. The pitch is slow, spin-friendly, and makes it is very difficult for the batsmen. Scores of around 130 have been tough to chase down and we think 150-160 could be a winning total in this match as well.
