Pakistan is coming from an Impressive win against their Arch Rivals India, it will certainly boost their Confidence.
-
New Zealand has always been an Underdog Team in the ICC Events and also done well though they have lost back to back Warmup Matches.
-
Mohd. Rizwan and Babar Azam form a strong opening pair for the Side which will be crucial to break.
In Today's Double Header, the second match will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium. Pakistan are coming from an Emphatic win against their Arch Rivals India and making a Statement at the beginning of the Tournament whereas on the other side New Zealand are coming off from back to back losses in the Warmup Matches but has the ability to turn the Tables on the Opponent.
Pakistan will be feeling really confident coming into this Game especially the way their Batting replied in the previous match chasing a Challenging total. Rizwan and Babar Azam are in prime form and would be a threat for any opponent the way they respond and compliment each other. Although we didn't get to see how Pakistan's middle-order batsman but On paper, Pakistan do have a decent middle-order with the likes of Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, and Shoaib Malik available. They also bat deep with Shadab and Imad can also play big shots. Bowling has been top class from the side with Shaheen Shah bowling really well alongside Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf. Shadab, Imad and Hafeez will b the spinners for the side.
There will be a lot of Challenges for the New Zealand side and they haven't played a lot of T20 Cricket late and also coming from back to back losses in the practice matches. One thing that we are certain of with respect to the Kiwis is that they will not go down without putting up a fight. Martin Guptill and Seifert will be the Assigned openers for the side. Williamson at the number at 3 will hold the innings together. Devon Conway and Glenn Philips are also in good form and would like to continue. Lockie Ferguson had a fantastic IPL this year it will certainly help the kiwis. Boult, Ferguson and Southee make a Perfect trio in the Pace Attack. In my Opinion, Mitch Santner and Ish Sodhi will be the Spinners for the side as they ae done well on Asian Tracks.
PITCH REPORT
The conditions in Sharjah were slow but a bit better for batting than expected in the previous match. However, the basic nature of the surface is slow and Helpful for Spin Bowling. Something around 145-160 should be seen as a decent score batting first.
TOSS PREDICTION
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. That should be seen as a big advantage at Sharjah where setting a score has been quite tricky.
