The second match of the Hundred 2022 season is going to be played between the Oval Invincibles and London Spirit. The Oval Invincibles finished fourth last season but seem to have some issue with the form of their leading players coming into this edition.
Oval Invincibles have an excellent bowling lineup but the form of some of their batters is a concern. Jason Roy is in the middle of a terrible summer and we have bet against him on every opportunity possible so far. Sam Billings, Jack Leaning, and Jordan Cox also struggled for Kent in the T20 Blast. This leaves a lot of the work to be done by Rilee Rossouw and Hilton Cartwright. Rossouw is our pick for the Top Batter Oval Invincibles betting market after a sustained run of brilliant form )domestic and international).
The real strength, though, comes in the form of the bowling lineup. Mohammad Hasnain, Reece Topley, Sunil Narine, and Matt Milnes could all find a place in the playing eleven. Narine is easily the trump card here and his ability to keep the runs down in the shortest formats of the game is simply unmatched.
London Spirit has added some impressive names to its squad this season starting with Glenn Maxwell and Kieron Pollard. The two T20 specialists will be the batters that London Spirit relies on to make a big impact. Zak Crawley and Dan Lawrence are both very good young batters but they have so far failed to make the step up to the next level. Nathan Ellis, Mason Crane, and Brad Wheal will lead the bowling lineup. This is a good bowling unit but it simply does not have the kind of skill that is available to the Oval Invincibles.
PITCH AND CONDITIONS
The conditions in London are expected to be quite good for cricket. The forecast is for clear skies and pleasant temperatures. The pitch at the Oval is one of the best for batting in the country. The ball is going to come on to the bat nicely and the ball will rocket on the fast outfield. A high-scoring match is likely and we would not be surprised to see 140-150 being scored here.
