In Today's Match in HBL PSL 2021, Quetta Gladiators will take on Multan Sultans at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Multan Sultans haven't done well in the initial stages of the tournament but have regained form in the later phase of the Tournament. Rizwan and Maqsood are the batsmen in form for the side scoring match-winning fifties in the previous match. Rilee Rossouw and Shimron Hetmyer are also in the team and are capable of playing Match winning innings. Rizwan holds the key for the batting lineup for the Multan Sultans. Shahnawaz Dhani is the lead bowler for the side picking the highest wickets in this year PSL. Imran Tahir and Sohail Tanvir are also experienced bowlers for the side and can make the difference between the two sides. Sohail khan and Debutant in the previous match Blessing Muzurbani also impressed in the previous Match.
Quetta Gladiators performed really well in yesterday's match against Lahore Qalandars and would like to continue the same. Usman Khan and Cameron Delport will be the openers for the side and like to contribute to the team as both of them haven't performed well yet. Weatherald Played brisk innings against Lahore gaining momentum for the side and he would like to play a big Innings. Azam Khan and Sarfaraz Ahmed will be the key for the middle order of the side. Azam Khan looked in fine form tonking the ball very well against Quality bowling. Against the Qalandars, the Gladiators were superb with the ball and surprisingly managed to defend in a tournament, in which defending hasn't been easy. Defending a total of 158, they kept Lahore Qalandars to just 140, dismissing them entirely in 18 overs. Usman Shinwari was brilliant right from the word go as he picked up 3 wickets for 32 runs without giving much away. However, their pick of the bowlers was Khurram Shahzad, who picked up three wickets for 14 runs.
PITCH REPORT
The conditions in Abu Dhabi are very hot. The start times have been delayed to try and make the playing conditions a bit more comfortable for the players but they will still challenge everyone. The pitch was very slow and difficult to score on in the first match. The Average Score is 150+ on this venue batting first.
TOSS PREDICTION
Every single team that has won the toss has opted to field first in PSL 2021. While this may change if the wickets in Abu Dhabi get slower, for the time being, it appears as if fielding first is the preferred strategy for all PSL teams.
