After overcoming some tremendous challenges and obstacles, the group stage of the Pakistan Super League 2021 edition is finally over and we are now at the brink of the PSL 6 playoffs. These two teams met each other 2 days before were Islamabad United got over the line easily. Colin Munro and Khawaja hold the key for Islamabad United in the Batting Department. Both of them are in tremendous form complimenting each other. Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmad and Shadab Khan make a strong middle order for the side. The addition of Faheem Ashraf will give more strength to the side as he contributes with both bat and ball. Hasan Ali has been the pick of the bowlers for the United bowling brilliantly in pressure situations. Skipper Shadab khan, Mohd. Wasim and Faheem Ashraf make a strong bowling lineup for the United.
Multan Sultan was at the bottom of the Points Table when the second phase of the Tournament began but they have changed their fortune with their performance. Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood form a solid opening pair for the side. Shan Masood has also been in good form scoring 2 half-centuries in the last 3 innings. Sohaib Maqsood has been in great form compiling runs at a good strike rate for the Multan Sultans. Rille Rossouw and Charles are also good players and can take the match away from the opposition. Shahnawaz Dhani has been the Superstar for the Sultans being the highest wicket-taker this season. Sohail Khan, Muzurbani and Imran Tahir also make a solid Bowling lineup for the side.
PITCH REPORT
The weather is going to continue being hit and the pitch has not changed much. It was slow to begin with and has remained that way for the most part. We think a score of around 170 should be a good one in this match. The boundaries are small and the six-hitters have had a good time off-late but something about the big matches makes taking risks a bit less likely.
