As we are moving towards the Playoff Stages, PSL 2021 is getting very interesting as it's very hard to predict which team will end up on Winning Side. In Today's Double Header, the first match will be played between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars. Lahore Qalandars have a solid batting lineup with Sohail Akhtar and Fakhar Zaman at the top of the order. Hafeez and Ben Dunk has the required experience in the middle order. Tim David, Rashid Khan and James Faulkner form a dangerous lower Middle Order. The Bowling attack of Lahore Qalandars is also one of the best in the Tournament with James Faulkner and Shaheen Afridi taking the new ball up front. They also have Haris Rauf and Daniyal Ahmed both of them going really well. Rashid Khan will be the key for the Qalandars as we all know how lethal he can be on his day destroying the batting side.
Quetta Gladiators campaign turned from bad to worse as they lost two of their key players to concussion. As Earlier Andre Rusell and then Faf Du Plesis. Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has to lead from the front if they want to end their campaign on a high though they are out for the run of Playoffs. Jake Weatherald and Cameron Delport have to use their experience in the middle order. Opening Pair doesn't have a lot of experience with the likes of Sam Ayub and Usman. Hasnain and Naseem Shah are the main pace bowler for the side. But they are a bit on the expensive side. Mohd. Nawaz was impressive last night picking up a wicket upfront. Chinaman Zahir Khan might also get a chance as he also bowled well last night.
PITCH REPORT
The conditions in Abu Dhabi are very hot. The start times have been delayed to try and make the playing conditions a bit more comfortable for the players but they will still challenge everyone. The pitch was very slow and difficult to score on in the first match. The Average Score is 150+ on this venue batting first.
TOSS PREDICTION
Every single team that has won the toss has opted to field first in PSL 2021. While this may change if the wickets in Abu Dhabi get slower, for the time being, it appears as if fielding first is the preferred strategy for all PSL teams.
