This next match of IPL 2020 is mouth-watering. There is just something about Kolkata Knight Riders vs Chennai Super Kings that makes the heart beat a little bit faster. After the loss against Delhi Capitals, Eoin Morgan felt it's easy to be too analytical about the performance in Sharjah when the focus should be on the positives from the game. Where as Chennai Super Kings are full of confidence coming into this game as they found the rhythm they were looking for in this tournament . Opening Duo of Shane Watson and Faf Du Plesis were terrific in the previous game both scoring half centuries . Bowling looks bit experience with inclusion of Dwayne Bravo and would like Sam Curran to support him in the bowling department . Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur will Share the new ball as expected .
All things considered, KKR has a match stronger batting lineup than CSK. It has Shubman Gill, Eoin Morgan, Nitish Rana, and Andre Russell all in good form. Russell may not have set IPL 2020 alight just yet but he is striking the ball pretty cleanly. They also have various bowling options which gives the captain of rotating bowlers whenever someone has had a bad day . Pat Cummins will take the new ball and had an outstanding tournament picking up wickets at the top of the order . That would probably require dropping one out of Shivam Mavi or Kamlesh Nagarkoti in place of Kuldeep Yadav.
PITCH REPORT
The pitch at Abu Dhabi has been the slowest out of all the three we have seen in this edition of the IPL. We don’t think that suits any one of the sides particularly although Dhoni becomes much more effective as a captain when his spinners are going their job.The ball has gripped a bit and the scoring rates have been lesser here than at other venues. Batting first could be a big advantage and a score of around 170 is going to be tough to chase down.
TOSS PREDICTION
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. We have seen batting first be a significant advantage overall but its 3-3 at this venue. As the tournament goes on, the pitches will become slower and favor the teams batting first.
