Babar Azam batted through the inning but left his acceleration too late to be able to win the match. Martin Guptil and Chadwick Walton got a chance in the previous Match but they failed to prove their worth and would be eager to perform for the side. Sharjeel Khan alongside Babar Azam makes a solid opening pair. With players like Thisara Perera, Imad Wasim, and Qasim Akram in the team, there is enough batting depth for the Karachi Kings to be able to play with a lot more freedom..Karachi will want its bowling to improve dramatically as well. Mohammad Amir had a horror start and was expensive without picking up a single wicket. Imad Wasim and Qasim Akram also never really got in the bowling groove that they would have preferred.

The conditions in Abu Dhabi have been brutal. It has been difficult to bat through 20 overs without losing a significant amount of power due to the heat. It has not helped that the pitch is low, slow, and difficult to bat on also.
The only reason we are seeing some high scores is because of the boundaries being pulled in a truly ridiculous amount. Accurate bowlers with the ability to bowl cutters or spinners that can be consistent with their lines are going to be hard to score off.
