They lost by a big margin against the hosts Oman in the first match and struggled against Nepal in the second fixture. Hong Kong had Nepal four wickets down for 36 inside seven overs. However, the target was only 126 and there was on the pressure of the required rate.
In the game on Monday, the Hong Kong team will face Ireland who started off with a convincing win over the Netherlands on the first day of the tournament. However, the hosts Oman recorded what can be considered as an upset on Sunday. The Irish team fell a long way in the chase of Oman’s 173/9.
