In the era of T20 Cricket all across the globe, Test Cricket has its own place and interest.Nothing can be more interesting than a test match.However, It is lacking popularity in recent times. To enhance the popularity of Test Cricket, ICC has proposed the idea of TEST CHAMPIONSHIP.
THE WORLD TEST CHAMPIONSHIP(WTC) comprises top 9 test playing Nations facing each other in a Two year period. Each country will play six test series-3 at Home and 3 Away. There will be 27 such series and a total of 72 test match to be played in this period. At the end, top two teams will face off each other to emerge as a winner of The test championship.
The top 9 teams in ICC test rankings as on march 31, 2018 have qualified for playing this Championship. INDIA, ENGLAND , AUSTRALIA, NEWZELAND, SOUTH AFRICA, WINDIES, PAKISTAN, SRILANKA , BANGLADESH will be competing for WTC.

At the end the top two teams in the points table will face off to determine the winner of ICC Test Championship .
The participants include India, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand.
Ireland, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will not be considered for this WTC.
