Australian Left-handed batsman Mathew Hayden injured while surfing in Queensland with his son in Queensland.

Mathew said that he 'dodged a bullet' after he sustained neck and facial injuries when he was surfing with his son in Queensland

Mathew posted on Instagram that - '' Last attention seeking post I promise. Just wanted to say a big thank you to all our mates on Straddie who have been so supportive.

This is the second time Hayden has had an accident while out in the sea. In 2000, his fishing boat sunk and he was forced to swim more than a kilometer with Andrew Symonds.

Mathew Heyden finished his career with an outstanding figure. He was the top opener for Australia and he made 30 tons also in his career. he played 103 Tests, 161 ODI's and nine Twenty20's for his team.
