
Wednesday (3rd October) west Indies right arm fast bowler Kemar Roach will not play in the first Test Match at Rajkot.
Kemar Roach returns back to Barbodas Last week following the death of his Grandmother. He also missed the first two Practise matches against Board President's XI in Vadodara. This was confirmed by windies coach on yesterday(2nd October). He said- "Unfortunately Kemar is not back in the country yet, he's had a bereavement in the family, unfortunately, he's had to go home in Barbados. He will be rejoining the squad halfway through the Test match, he should be back in the country and ready to go for the second Test. Kemar Roach is very experienced, has great skills and is one of our leaders in the group, he's a big loss. Missing Kemar is a big hole."
He will rejoin the squad midway through the 1st test beginning here on Thursday.
Roach has taken 163 wickets at an average of 28.31 in 48 Test Matches.
